2006 Concrete Technology Forum:
Focus on Pervious Concrete
The first ever Concrete Technology Forum was held May 23-24, 2006, in Nashville to a sell out crowd of over 300 attendees including designers, contractors and product suppliers. The 2006 Concrete Technology Forum: Focus on Pervious Concrete featured 30 presentations on state-of-the-art developments, new construction techniques and product formulations to optimize performance of pervious concrete. A product expo featured 14 companies that offer products and services for pervious concrete.
The program culminated with a panel discussion on the future of pervious concrete including research, design, and education needs. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the topic NRMCA announced that it is launching a series of technical seminars titled Implementing Pervious Concrete Pavements (www.nrmca.org/seminars) starting in July and that the 2008 Concrete Technology Forum will also feature pervious concrete as a featured topic of discussion.
NRMCA published a CD containing
reprints of over 30 papers and presentations featured at the 2006
Concrete Technology Forum. These papers and presentations represent
state of the art research and information on pervious concrete.
