2007 Concrete Technology Forum:

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association sponsored the 2007 Concrete Technology Forum: Focus on High Performance Concrete, May 22-24, 2007 in Dallas. The forum will brought researchers and practitioners together to discuss the latest advances, technical knowledge, continuing research, tools and solutions for high performance concrete. Researchers, engineers, architects, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers, and concrete industry professionals are invited to attend. With the focus on high performance concrete, the 2007 Concrete Technology Forum provided a venue for researchers, contractors and product manufacturers to inform the industry about state-of-the-art developments, new construction techniques and product formulations that optimize concrete performance.

The P2P Initiative of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association proposes the use of performance-based specifications for concrete construction as an alternative to traditional prescriptive specifications.
